For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour my Spirit upon your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants.

Isaiah 44:3

TAKE NOTE: This week is UN Water Week and 22 March marks World Water Day. Follow UN Water on Facebook.

Water source of life

Water is a scarce and precious resource. Today’s mining and food production industries are contaminating the 1% of the planet’s drinkable water.

ACT ON WHAT YOU’VE LEARNT: Do you want to discuss the role of water in the post-2015 development agenda? Check this out:

The Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) – which have shaped the global development agenda for over a decade – are set to expire in the year 2015. Important progress has been made in many areas that include water and sanitation, but what will to come next?

To answer that question, the UN is hosting an online global dialogue along 11 different themes, seeking to activate the diverse voices of civil society, young people, NGOs, business, academia and professional groups.

Water is one of those global themes. This is an open and inclusive space to discuss the role of water in the post-2015 development agenda.
DON’T FORGET: Today is also Meat-Free Monday.
